Description

AJ table lamp, polished stainless steel from Lucky Interiors Uganda, priced at UGX 5,778,000. The AJ table lamp by Louis Poulsen is perfect for desks and nightstands alike, and it catches the eye also as a detail of the living room. The iconic form of Louis Poulsen’s AJ range was born in 1957 when the legendary Danish architect Arne Jacobsen designed the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen including its interior and furniture. The timeless lamp has a sculptural design that consists of basic, geometric forms: a cone-shaped shade with a simple cylinder socket. The adjustable shade, painted matt white inside, reflects soft and pleasant light with no glare. The AJ range has become a Danish design icon and one of the most beloved pieces created by Arne Jacobsen. The AJ table lamp in stainless steel was re-launched in 2020 in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the opening of the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. Made of uncoated metal, the luminaire will, in time, develop a beautiful patina that not only gives it a unique character but also accentuates the lamp's nostalgic feel.
