Description

Carved Stool, Polished Bronze from Lucky Interiors Uganda, priced at UGX 2,063,000. Few objects command a room with the authority of the Carved Stool, Polished Bronze. Phillips Collection operates here at its most gallery-assured — a piece that arrives with sculptural presence and the permanence of craft executed without compromise. The finish of the Carved Stool, Polished Bronze is applied with the patience of studio practice rather than factory process — a distinction immediately legible to anyone trained to look closely at the work. Skilled artisans have produced results that no automated method could approach. The brown finish honors the material's character without artifice. At 13x13x17"h, it commands the space it is given with appropriate authority. Collectors are drawn to objects that continue to reward sustained study. The Carved Stool, Polished Bronze is precisely that — a piece that reveals new detail as context and light shift around it, and whose value does not diminish over time. For collectors seeking an object that holds visual authority indefinitely, the Carved Stool, Polished Bronze is an exemplary choice. Phillips Collection's studio practice produces work for the long view, and this piece exemplifies that commitment without reservation.
