Description

Pieni Unikko cushion cover, 50 x 50 cm, blueberry - white - cold blue from Lucky Interiors Uganda, priced at UGX 193,000. Marimekko's Pieni Unikko cushion cover is adorned with the iconic floral pattern designed by Maija Isola, reimagined in an even sweeter miniature scale by Kristiina Isola. The cushion cover is printed in Helsinki on a 100% organic cotton fabric. All fans of Finnish design surely recognize Unikko, but have you ever heard the story behind the pattern? Maija Isola created it in 1964 after Armi Ratia, the founder of Marimekko, had publicly announced that no floral fabrics would be printed at the design house. Isola did not accept these rules and restrictions without a fight and, in protest, ended up designing an entire collection of bold floral patterns. One of these designs was Unikko, which quickly became a favorite of Ratia, too. Today, Unikko is one of Marimekko's best-known and most beloved patterns worldwide. Imported sofa covers piece, delivered in Kampala and countrywide. Order on WhatsApp +256 705 697889.
